Background: I am a Leeds trainer and GP tutor. I have a specific role at the
VTS supporting the Trainers with Workshops, Visits, e-mails and calls, usually
on issues with the e-portfolio and Educational Supervision. As such I am in the
background in terms of attending the HDR scheme.Qualifications: MBChB

Non-medical Interests: I am married to Kirsty, a fellow GP.
We have 4 children, a border collie and a few hens. I like fine wine, hill

Background: I qualified from the Leeds VTS scheme and started as
a TPD in August 2010. I was a mature student who also did lots of
different things before starting GP training. I am currently a partner at
Laurel Bank in Headingley, Leeds.

Because of this, my interests tend to be Horrid Henry reading, playing

Simon O'Hara
Training Programme Director: Budgets and HDR
My main role in life is as the coach for the Under 15 team
at Ilkley Cricket Club. I supplement the income from this with full time
general practice. I am also involved in GP appraisal.
I am responsible for the budget and study leave at the VTS, as well as helping
with HDR.
All the usual out of work interests for a doctor, including light keep fit,
golf and drinking smallish quantities of real ale (weekends only).

I am a Leeds Graduate having qualified from Leeds University
in 2001. After a brief dalliance with a career in Obs and Gynae (swiftly
quashed by night shifts) I embarked on a career in General Practice, and
completed the Leeds VTS in 2006.
I am currently a Partner at Meanwood Practice, and I do some Out of Hours work.

Non-Medical Interests: My husband is also a GP and we have 3
children who keep us so busy I can't remember what my outside interests

I am
a partner at Meanwood Surgery having qualified from the Leeds VTS in 2010. I qualified from Cambridge in 1995 and entered obs and gynae
training. I have spent time in Australia ,London and Nottingham as
well as Yorkshire and also undertook a fellowship in fetomaternal
medicine in America. Whilst in Nottingham I
undertook 2 years of research with completion of an MD thesis.
I have 3
children and am married to a surgeon at St. James’s. I am an avid
reader, enjoy piano playing, aim to keep in shape by running and making use of
the Dales.
